One word to describe this film: heavy.
These are the kind of movies that can change lives, minds, and the entire world. Tim Ballard is a former FBI agent who has since dedicated his life to rescuing children from human trafficking. Director Alejandro Monteverde and star Jim Caviezel give us a sneak peek into the world of modern-day slavery. I’ve seen over forty films this year, and this film easily makes the top 5. How easy it would have been for the director to emotionally manipulate us into feeling something, but he takes a step back and lets the story tell itself. With so much evil in the world, this movie reminds us to have hope and keep our faith.
