We don’t affirm a schizophrenic’s hallucinations, we don’t tell people who are depressed that they’re hopeless and better off dead, and we don’t agree with anorexics when they call themselves fat. Participating in someone’s mental illness doesn’t promote healing and it can make things worse, so I don’t understand why gender dysphoria gets a pass.
You are a gifted writer. Your ability to articulate what I'm thinking and feeling, yet unable to express, astounds me. Your wisdom is beyond your years.
Nail. Head. You have such an eloquent way of speaking and I love it. You said everything I've been thinking but can't put to words in a kind way. Bravo!!
I couldn't agree more with a statement if I tried. Playing to people's ideas of themselves and being responsible for someone else's validation is not a game I want to, or will, play. Thank you for saying this so well. Love your mind!
Can't wait to say I knew Savvy when... because you're going places! Your ideas, ability to debate, and express them are not the standard today. Your common sense is far less than common. Thank you for articulating so eloquently so many of us feel and see but just don't have the words to say.
I love your content so much!! Recently I read a quite popular book in the rom-com genre. I got to a section and the author starts referring to they. I literally had to go back and read the same section twice to try to figure out where the other people were. Nope. Just one person. It so completely threw me and distracted me and pulled me out of the story. It’s ridiculous. This post is so spot on.
This is the best, most thought out, honest and accurate description of the issue! One of my friends has a high profile job at Duke university and was required to have “her pronouns” in her email signature. She is a straight woman who no one would ever mistake as anything else. She refused and threatened a lawsuit (she is a lawyer) because her gender/sexual identity is private information and an employer can’t force you to reveal any personal information. She prevailed and is probably the only Duke employee who doesn’t have that in their email signature!
I love your calm brilliance and how great you are at explaining the world around you or just your thoughts. You put big issues into the perfect words — something that I can never seem to manage in order to get my point across!
Absolutely brilliantly said, Savvy: “ This entire schtick is based on one’s self-perception which we as an outsider cannot see. I can see Jeffrey’s humanity just fine, but what I can’t see is Jeffrey’s perception of his humanity, and that’s the problem.”
I would argue that using they/them pronouns is actually acknowledging LESS humanity than using his God given pronouns. Demons talk about themselves in the plural, singular healthy humans do not.

Wow…this needs to be an article out on all the main platforms!!

YES!!!!!! I could cry right now, thank you for this. It is not our job to validate anyones identity. So perfectly put. THANK YOU.
I just love your common sense and way of expressing the TRUTH!
Keep going, girl! You are AWESOME 🥰

So clear. So true. Thank you for putting into words what is so obvious but often hard to describe.

This was excellent, really sums it all up so accurately and clearly
I don't know that I could have explained that better...love your explanation
Do you listen to Bari Weiss? She had a great episode about how mental health is becoming an identity and how dangerous that is
No, I'll have to check it out
