Women shouldn’t have to ask or beg because it’s basic human rights. Women shouldn’t be forced to share vulnerable spaces with men. Women have a right to assemble without men. So much work went into protecting women from domestic violence and sex-based crimes only for women to be called bigots because they don’t want to undress in front of a man. So much work went into legally recognizing female autonomy only to be told it doesn’t exist. Anyone can be a woman as long as they self-identify as such. That’s the world we live in.

Something to know: this policy of Planet Fitness is the LAW in most blue states. EVERY gym in a blue state will have the same policy, because it's state law. They have no choice.

EVERY Democrat in Congress is on record as in favor of making this a nationwide law. That would be the consequence of the Equality Act, which mimics those state laws.
If I may suggest, you might want to look for smaller neighborhood (non-chain) gyms. Not every one is the same, but many will have a much more "community" feel than the chains. Which can mean they are much less judgey and more welcoming, without silly policies of chain gyms. Look around at the gym before you join, at the members there. If you see ordinary ("normal") people of all ages, shapes, and ethnicities, that may be a good place for you.
Planet Fitness is a terrible place where no person who seriously wants to improve their health and fitness goes. Complaining about the transgender policy at Planet Fitness is like complaining about the transgender policy at McDonalds - if you're consuming shit, then expect to get messy.
Smaller gyms will get you better results, and will find ways to exclude creepy weirdos like trannies and people taking photographs in toilets.
