My take is this: not everyone voted for Trump. What they voted on was Vance, RFK, Jr, Tulsi, Elon, and Vivek. Democrats were too focused on abortion and transgenders. The majority of Americans are concerned about food on the table, paying utilities, mortgages and actually living life and not just surviving.

Yes. The people voted for America.

This sentence "Quite frankly, a lot of women are tired of politicians only fighting for women when it comes to killing their children." sums it up perfectly.

We have reproductive freedom. They just don't like how we choose to use it.

Everything you said was on point, this sentence just hit me as a perfect summation of their "care" for women.

I just read that line to my husband...and keep saying over and over. There is so much more to women's rights than celebrating abortion. It's all so condescending and Infuriating. Thanks for the great article.

Savannah, this is so spot-on. Well said! And, with all the focus on trying to figure out why Trump won, the Harris supporters seem to be overlooking the fact that the senate, house, and governor majorities all now belong to Republicans. America has spoken. We are not with her nor her allies given the progressive policies they're pushing and the name calling they're placing on anyone who disagrees.

The Democrats approached this election with an attitude of superiority. "We are smarter, so just do what we tell you to do and everything will be fine."

That attitude is a fundamental aspect of the quasi-religion of Liberalism. Liberalism is the faith that believers are inherently smarter and better than non-believers. You can see that in the responses, even just the ones that Savvy capped in her essay. Liberalism is inherently "right" simply because one believes in it. And trying to shake that faith with facts or logic is virtually never successful, because it is a religious belief, not a rational position. Those who oppose them are "hateful", and those who act against them are "evil" and must be destroyed.

Democrats are now struggling with the idea that over half the country is "evil" and voted against them, despite them being "right" about everything. The mental and emotional gymnastics to accept that the country is "evil", while remaining "right" are entertaining, but disturbing. They are trying to find explanations that excuse normal people from the "evil" they have done, and place that "evil" on someone or something that can be vilified and destroyed. The problem can't possibly be them or Liberal (Dem) policies, it has to be something else.

And once the blame is apportioned and assigned, the entire focus will be to destroy that source of "evil" forever. Trump is obviously a source of "evil", but there will be others who will be targeted in the coming days.

Wow! That is such a great encapsulation of their thinking . And they are still thinking this way even after they were slaughtered in the election. Really hard to figure out why they are behaving this way. Only thing I can think of is, it is truly a sickness. They need intervention in a huge way.

Expand full comment

It's literally a religious-type faith, which is why facts and logic just don't ever seem to work. It's a belief, that places them as superior to non-believers. Short of cult deprogramming, the only way they will change is to start questioning their own beliefs.

Absolute truth!

“A gentle reminder, Kamala Harris didn’t receive any votes during the primary. She was not elected by the American democrat voters to represent the Democrat party in the general election, but she was SELECTED by the unelected DNC. She was selected not because she the best option but because selecting anyone else meant losing the millions of dollars raised for Biden’s campaign. She was selected not because of her strong leadership skills but because she could follow directions and be a puppet for the DNC agenda which elevated her chances of seeing election day. “. You are wise beyond your years and a breath of fresh air. Keep looking for the truth and you will find it.

Good article, but I think much of it comes down to this one little sentence.

They didn’t like her then, and I’m not sure why they thought people would like her now.

They (meaning the DNC political machine) assumed they could push the debate early enough to expose Biden's mental frailty, push him aside because I think he was resisting, then choose a DEI candidate themselves, rather than let the public decide. Enough time to rebrand, but not enough time for a second primary.

If they did it early enough, they figured they would have plenty of time for a rebranding and PR makeover. They had billions of dollars, mainstream media and Hollywood A-list elites in their pocket, as well as the Swifties, and they assumed that's all it took to win an election. A win would vindicate their DEI and Trans ideology, and god only knows what that looks like with a win. They were selling their constituency the New Pepsi. Of course they thought it would work, because they have no respect for the intelligence of the public. They figure we're all a bunch of salivating morons that vote for someone, because Taylor Swift or Cardi B likes them. Celebrity endorsement after celebrity endorsement rolled in. They made absurdly woke Hollywood commercials. They tried showing the "MEN" voting for her.

Bottom line.

They underestimated the intelligence of voters, and overestimated the power of advertising.

Kamala lost, because they are ignorant arrogant assholes, and it showed. We saw right through their game. Kamala was not only the worst choice, their advertising gimmicks were lame and obvious.

That campaign was a Hollywood production. It was unserious and completely out of touch. And with every phony inflammatory slanderous word, and every ad they aired, it just became more and more ridiculous, making Kamala more of a caricature of a Presidential candidate. It was completely phony.

They lost the White House, the Senate, and will soon lose the House.

I think that was probably what annoyed me most. And trotting out all those celebrities probably hurt more than helped their cause. They acted like we were stupid--like we couldn't see it for ourselves...don't believe your lying eyes. The gaslighting was just beyond measure and almost comical if it wasn't so evil!

Savannah, I also LOVED that line: " they SELECTED a candidate so awful the Amish rolled up like it was the Oregon Trail. " That alone is pure brilliance.

Many of us actually detest politics for the very real mud-slinging and badgering and name-calling on all sides. My parents were always Dems and I was a Dem until I began to see them becoming dominated by the Radical Left. I did not join the Republicans either and remain an Independent voter. Most of us who voted for Trump do not like everything about him , like his big mouth...but he has direct experience in the very difficult realm of big business and I prefer a realistic "trenches" person to the intellect alone. Live and learn and do, that is Trump and that is the America First movement. I do not celebrate the sorrows of others.... but all of us who did not vote for Biden, survived his four years and just kept on living. The motto of the human race must be..."keep on going." Wendy

I heard that when Obama, Pelosi and Schumer forced Joe to resign, he did their bidding, but then turned around and endorsed KH as the new candidate. Unfortunately, this threw a monkey wrench in Obama et al’s plans to conduct a primary ( thus getting rid of Kamala )and they were forced to stay with her (also there was that delicate matter of the 1 billion campaign dollars).

I think Dr. Jill had a lot to do with how things rolled out, and pretty sure her red outfit yesterday was no accident.

If there’s anything I am disgusted by as a proud Trump voter, it’s the identity politics in this country. When she came to campaign in Georgia, (my home state), she visited Liberty and Chatham counties and conveniently avoided Bryan, which is a red beacon of hope located geographically between the two. It was a slobbering lovefest during that time and pretty revolting to watch.

The last few days have been have been a joy to behold. I can’t seem to wipe the huge Cheshire cat grin off my face.

God bless President Trump and God bless the USA .

Common sense analysis! If the democrats had a primary it is likely Trump would have lost. There is a reason republicans like me cheered when they picked her and cheered again when she chose Walz.
