Five other justices share the same political views, but Justice Thomas has liberals seeing red. Why? Because he’s black. Not because of some deep political disagreement on a particular issue, or anything he’s said but because he’s black and dares to not be a card-carrying democrat. No one does a better job of exposing racists than Justice Clarence Thomas. It’s like shining a light on cockroaches, they can’t help but scatter to all the corners of the internet.

I’ve been conservative-leaning since around 2007 and I never gave much thought to it until just a few months before the 2008 presidential election. Here was this black man running for president, and I wasn’t voting for him. I was very firm in my beliefs, values, and where I stood on the issues, so I never felt this push or pull to vote for Obama. His values were the complete opposite of mine. However, I felt like I had to choose between what I believed and my skin color, and it was such a weird internal battle because I’d never given much thought to my skin color.
