Jackson Women’s Health Organization (JWHO) challenged a law passed by the state of Mississippi banning abortions after fifteen weeks and won rulings in both the district court and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. The state of Mississippi appealed to the Supreme Court, which took the case and they heard arguments on December 1, 2021. On June 24, 2022, the courts ruled in Dobbs v.
