Talking about the issues that mattered most to voters and how Democrats may have missed the mark, Stephen A. Smith, host of ESPN’s “First Take,” brings up the trans issue and Sunny Hostin is quick to interject with an irrelevant fact. “That’s less than 1% of the population,” Sunny says. He argues voters don’t see how ridiculous the entire conversation is and Sunny agrees that we’re low-information voters. If we only had the right information we wouldn’t be against males in female sports.
And we all say in unison: THIS IS WHY YOU LOST!
While the democrats struggle to do the introspective work necessary to improve their election odds in four years, I’m noticing quite a few are tripping over social issues, particularly the trans issue. I blame social media. Platforms like YouTube and TikTok give the false impression that transgender rights are popular amongst the populace when it’s the opposite. TRAs are so loud on these platforms because those in opposition are forced to stay quiet. TikTok removed one of my videos for hateful behavior for saying men taking estrogen is not the same as a woman’s menstrual cycle. Did they learn nothing from the Bud Light scandal? Dylan Mulvaney hasn’t been the same sense.
The “in-general” problem with Democrats is how dismissive they’ve been and their attempts to gaslight normal Americans: The economy is not that bad, gas was never that high, and trans people make up less than 1% of the population. To Sunny and Stephen who think people’s opposition to trans-identifying males in female-designated spaces is ridiculous, let me show you what 1% of the population looks like.
Last August while in Charlotte, I joined my best friend’s small group at Amelie’s Bakery on Park Road. This sign was next to the bathroom:
Gender diversity is welcome here.
Please use the restroom that best fits your gender identity or expression
There was one under the men’s as well, but I’m a woman so this is the sign that affects me. This sign is designed to accommodate, as Sunny put it, less than 1% of the population, but it affects 100% of the women who have used and will use that bathroom, and, if I remember correctly, that bathroom isn’t very big. Women are not men. We don’t flick out our vaginas and put them back in, our business requires us to pull our pants and underwear down to at least our knees or to be completely naked if our outfit is a one-piece. The sign doesn’t just say “Gender diversity is welcome here,” it’s telling every woman that a man may walk in when she’s half-naked and vulnerable and there’s nothing she can do about it.
San Jose State University Women’s Volleyball player, Brooke Slusser, a 2023 transfer from Alabama, has received hate messages and death threats since speaking out for herself and her teammates. No one told her when she was recruited that one of her teammates, Blaire Fleming (above), was a man. This information was kept secret from her and the rest of her teammates, and many of the recruits feel stuck because they can’t quit or transfer for risk of losing their scholarships. Reddux broke the story in April and there’s been a firestorm ever since.
Since the start of the 2024-25 season, four schools have forfeited matches against San Jose citing fairness and safety concerns. Wyoming forfeited twice, and we’re waiting to see if Nevada will forfeit a second time. San Jose Associate Head Coach, Melissa Batie-Smoose, was suspended indefinitely after filing a Title IX complaint against San Jose State, the Mountain West Conference, and the NCAA.
A lawsuit has been filed in the Colorado Federal Court asking for an injunction against San Jose’s upcoming participation in the Mountain West Tournament, claiming Title IX and First Amendment violations.
With help from his coaches, Brayden “Blaire” Fleming, a redshirt senior and transfer from Coastal Carolina kept his “gender identity” a secret. This means none of the other players knew they were being housed or forced to share hotel rooms and intimate spaces with a man. Blaire is just one person, but the decision to include him in Women’s Volleyball affects his team and the rest of the conference. Unfortunately, these players are on the West Coast which means there isn’t a lot of help for them. These brave young women are voicing their concerns and asking for help, but no one’s listening. The one person who fought for them was fired.
“I’m trans, by the way,” is what an eighteen-year-old male student said before he exposed himself to four fourteen-year-old girls in the girls’ locker room. This happened in Spring 2023 in Sun Prarie, Wisconsin. Parents at a school board meeting demanded action and clarification on their locker room policies. One resident said he wanted people to think about “how difficult being transgender is,” Another resident was quoted as saying, “I would like you to also think about that transgendered individual. Do you think they wanted to be a national news story? Now, I don’t know who that individual is. Most of the public doesn’t know who that individual is, but their peer group does. How long do you think that student is going to feel welcome in Sun Prairie schools?”
Technically this adult committed a crime by exposing himself to minors, but school board officials tried their best to sweep it under the rug and a few residents are worried about this boy’s feelings. The Department of Education finally opened an investigation on November 29, 2023. If there is an update to this case, I can’t find one, and the case is still pending with the Department of Education.
There are Title IX cases from 2014 that are still open, and you can look those up here. This eighteen-year-old is one person, but he violated four children.
Fox Fisher is a trans-identifying female who recently flew first class with Virgin Atlantic. The sight of a “TERF” wearing a “woman t-shirt” sent Fox into a panic attack. “This incident highlights a gap in airline policies,” Fox says, “While airlines can’t police every outfit, fostering an inclusive environment is crucial. Perhaps some guidelines on potentially offensive clothing could prevent similar situations?”
The word “woman” on a t-shirt made her feel unsafe and now she wants Virgin Atlantic to either change their policy or create one. In 2022 Virgin Atlantic “removed their requirement to wear gendered uniforms,” while also allowing staff to dress in a way that aligns with their gender expression. They also provide optional pronoun badges for their employees. My question is, what happens to a passenger who doesn’t abide by those pronoun badges? Virgin Atlantic doesn’t have a dress code for passengers (not one I can find), but they do follow guidelines similar to other airlines:
No bare feet
No clothing that’s “lewd, obscene, or offensive in nature”
“Woman” is offensive only to those who hate themselves, but Fox wants Virgin Atlantic to craft policies that cater to her self-hatred. Fox is just one person but she wants to change the airline experience to suit her mental health needs.
Artemis Langford received a bid to join the University of Wyoming’s Gamma Omicron chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma (KKG), which was great news. The only problem is that KKG is a sorority and Langford is not a woman.
Six of his fellow sisters filed a lawsuit against Kappa Kappa Gamma, its president, and Langford himself. It’s a loophole that allows him to stay in the sorority: The word “woman” isn’t clearly defined in the charter’s bylaws.
The women who sued said Langford made them uncomfortable and often sported an erection when he was in the common areas of the sorority house. They initially filed the suit in April 2023, but the lawsuit was dismissed a few months later. They filed an appeal, but unfortunately, that appeal was also dismissed. Artemis Langford is one person, but UW is Wyoming’s only public university and an individual sorority chapter can have upwards of 300 members.
Do you remember the Wi Spa incident from 2021? Long story short, people called this a hoax. A woman complained to the front desk of this Korean Spa (which has separate floors for men and women) that a man, who called himself trans, exposed himself to four women and at least one child.
People defended this man asking why people were staring at him and blaming the child for not averting her eyes, and even held pro-trans protests. This man (in the video) looked this woman in the face and told her she was being a “dick” for making noise.
Fun Fact: They were defending a registered sex offender.
Darren Merager, a registered sex offender, who as of February of this year will face a jury trial for the indecent exposure charges stemming from what happened at Wi Spa, is a predatory man who took advantage of California’s laws that allow males to enter women’s spaces based on their say so. When people say predatory men will take advantage of these laws, this is what they mean, and I don’t understand why those in opposition to keeping men out of women’s spaces need it to happen more than once.
Darren Merager is one person but he sexually violated six women and a child.
One of the many mistakes made by the Harris Campaign was the blatant avoidance of Harris’s record before becoming Vice President and their refusal to clarify or explain her previous policies or why she changed her mind on certain issues. She wanted to pretend her past didn’t happen while using her past to qualify her. Because she and her team didn’t speak up, Donald Trump and his campaign spoke for her:
If the Democrats want to see the White House again they’ll have to accept that gaslighting and dismissing the legitimate concerns of everyday Americans doesn’t work. As small as it may seem to them, the inclusion of males into female spaces affects more than just that male individual. It has lasting consequences for women whose rights are seen as less important. Democrats aren’t talking about the minor girl who was sexually violated at Wi Spa or the freshman girls in Wisconsin who are still waiting for justice. Payton McNabb, a former North Carolina high school volleyball player, has permanent damage due to a spike to the face by a boy on the opposing team. Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School in Massachusetts forfeited a field hockey game against Somerset Berkley Regional High School because a few months prior a male player injured a girl on an opposing team, knocking out two of her teeth.
Those in favor of male inclusion in female sports say it’s not that big of a deal, so what’s the magic number? How many girls and women have to be injured or violated before it’s a problem? How many girls have to scream for help before Democrats start listening?
Exactly right, Savvy. Great examples and how those media personalities continue to be so obtuse shows the ivory tower or elite bubble they live in. Thank God, there are people soon to be in power that want to turn the tide from these outrageous trends, attacks and outright abuses of women and children.
I'm still gobsmacked that feminists are silent on the trans men wrecking women's sports.
Thank You @Savannah Edwards Savvy!
Some of the things that have been done and said to me personally feels down right abusive. For people who have claimed to believe all women and care for women, they are most certainly misogynist via denying our right to safety when we are at our most vulnerable positions. I have no nice things to say about Harris and what she did in california. I had someone speak very nasty to me when they started the conversation with me about their telling me i HAD TO vote for her 10 days ago. This started a conversation of me need to vote for a woman and a woman of color needs to stick to voting for another woman of color. I said a no no because i said " So because I and colored and a female means I automatically am assigned to voting for other colored women and democrats? Are we slaves? " This ended the conversation when she walked away in disgust and shaking her head and mumbling something about retard. I actually thought she would engage after my tongue in cheek, although dead serious statement. I totally do not get the thought of someone telling me how I feel, what I should or shouldn't do and how to think.
I wanted to tell You SavvyHow much I love Your writing, videos everything. You are a blessing. Also I live in the Tarheel State.
